Covering the biggest party in Europe

A pair of Milos roofs were chosen to cover the enormous Carl Cox dance floor and artist area of the biggest European music event of the summer. With attendance close to 150,000, the popular Ultra Europe Music Festival (www.ultramusicfestival.com) descended with a fury on the Poljud Stadium in Split, Croatia from July 13th – 16th. It was the second time this music festival was held on the shores of the Adriatic Sea and included a long list of artists such as David Guetta, Armin Van Buren, Afrojack and Tiesto.

For a party of this magnitude, Ultra Europe Project Manager Zoran Biskupic enlisted the help of Milos distributor KSS in Slovenia to provide “the largest roof structure available” that could cover the area from the fences of the property to the outer walls of the stadium. The truss structures also needed to be the safest and most stable, so they would hold up to the wild and crazy atmosphere expected to engulf the music event grounds. KSS answered the call by supplying two Milos roof structures joined together for a combined length of 60 metres and a height of 12m. Also supplied was subtrussing for the roofs and most of the subtrussing for the main floor.

The grand pair of roof structures were constructed from 4GX91 and 4GS 62 truss for the main grid, 4KH 40 truss for supporting the canopy and 4KT 40 truss for the towers. 4GS 50 and 4KH 30 served as subtruss and supported the LED screens and lighting.

Milos has a wide range of roof structures that will meet your needs no matter how big your music event, music festival or area to be covered. Contact us today for more information at www.milos-systems.co.uk/Contact.
